[TiVo Central] Install 'Tivo Desktop'....but not loaded at startup?

I have installed Tivo Desktop (v.2.4) on my older machine.  (I have a 
Pentium III - 550mhz - 256RAM - WinXP.)

I usually don't run the server...but only turn it on when I need to do 
something with it......to conserve resources.

I also notice that a whole bunch of Tivo items load at every startup. 
(TivoDesktop.exe, TivoServer.exe, TivoNotify.cexe, TivoBeacon.exe, 
TivoTransfer.exe)

Since I am trying to concerve my systems resourse....and since I only use 
the Tivo Desktop occaisionally....is there a way to stop all those items 
from loading into the memory at startup....and only loading them when I 
actually start to use and need the Tivo Desktop?
