Glen I recently upgraded one of my S2's and xferred the lifetime to a TiVo HD and I didn't wait - I had the M-Card before the TiVo arrived and it works great watching all the stations including HD using the card. I went to Comcast, picked it up, pushed it in - called Comcast - gave them the serial number off the card (NOT what comes up on your screen) and voila - I was in business. Don't put off getting a card. Call Comcast to ensure your local one has an M-Card (since, by law, they have to give you the first one for free). Enjoy! ps - i have mine wired into my router so i can't help you w/your connection question nor have i tried xferring anything yet to my PC.

I have gotten most of the stuff to work, but there's one that's being a problem. Watching a show transferred to the PC doesn't happen because of some codec problem. I can play DVD's on the computer with the included Sonic player. I've downloaded and installed two or three codec decoders, to no avail. Anyone got an option to get this thing working ? I tried playing it from the folder directly, and opening the file with Real Player and Quicktime. > > Also, I was using a 2Wire dsl modem router, and it connects to the service ok, but the other network features seem sluggish or non working on the 801.b router, but worked well on the 801.g. Right up until the 801.g (2701) started power cycling and now needs replacement (I suspect it's the router that's bad, not something else). I'm using a tivo brand usb wireless adapter to avoid these kind of problems, but I'm not going to sweat it too much until I get the replacement router. Anyone else have issues with a 2Wire router (1000HW) > > Other than this (and I think it's mostly my computer, not the tivo box), I'm really liking the HD box. No cable cards yet, wanted to give it a go with just the analog signal going in after all I've read about problems with the cable cards, so far I'm pretty happy. > > Glen >
