As I understand it, the S1 boxes will have VCR like functionality, that is record by time and channel is still available (wonder how you set the clock).
I hear S2 boxes are bricks without service, door stop with a hard drive. Do they not have the same feature ? My new HD box has the similar "record by time and channel" option, I'm hoping that 10 years from now when I upgrade to some S-HD box that this one has the same functionality. Glen
