I have been messing around with Windows Vista Media Center, primarily to have the capability of playing VOBs. Playback of VOBs in VMC just can't compete with playback of recordings made on my DirecTiVo (from the usability standpoint), so I'm looking for a better solution.
Do any of the recent TiVo models offer the ability to play back VOBs (or some other format to which it is fairly easy to convert VOBs) that are served over the LAN by a Windows (or Linux) system? If so, which add-on feature and which TiVo model(s) are required? Thanks . Mike [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
