Transcode? Is that like converting? With desktop plus I could put my Tivo shows
onto my ipod??

It depends on your needs. If you need to transcode video either way -
TTG transcoded for iPod, PSP, etc or TTCB other formats to MPEG-2 for
the TiVo - then it is a decent value. Especially if you're not a geek
who is into rolling your own solutions. TiVo Desktop Plus is an easy
to use solution.
