Our kids bought us a tivo for Christmas and there are a couple of things we can't figure out:
1) can you record just a program without its commercials? Somehow I thought that was a tivo feature, but have not been able to find how to do it. 2) why would our tivo want to compulsively record programs that we don't watch, don't request, and do not want? It seems to be especially fond of weird cartoon programs such as kim possible and power rangers, but it also likes diego, and shows such as old reruns of crossing jordan, which we never watch. Is there a setting somewhere that turns off the unwanted recording schedule? It seems to want to do these recordings at all hours of the day and night. I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer. ---nan
