I can't say about the specific Anthem AVM, but I can say that the
remote that comes with the TiVo HD is not a learning remote. You only
get the codes already loaded into the remote. The TiVo Glo remote,
which comes with the Series3, does have limited learning capabilities
so that's the only hope if it isn't in the standard pre-load set. You
can buy the Glo remote separately for the TiVo HD.

When you say 'wireless bridge' I think of something with an Ethernet
port - if so, both the TiVo HD and Series3 have Ethernet ports so you
can connect them to a standard Ethernet-to-WiFi bridge.

The HD is 160GB while the S3 is 250GB. Personally, given the price
difference, these days I'd buy the TiVo HD and either expand the
internal drive or just get the My DVR Expander.
