An audiophile, from Latin audire[1] "to hear" and Greek philos[2] "loving," can be generally defined as a person dedicated to achieving high fidelity in the recording and playback of music. Specifically referring to the THX certification that the S3 box has, only an audiophile would really hear the difference, most of have home theater equipment that we probably can't tell the difference on.
