I don't get it then.. Why would it stop all of a suddon? I tried turning off
the firewall, rebooting the computer and TiVo, clearing the cache reinstalling
Tivo Desktop, made sure the TiVo server WAS running, and even did a little
South American rain dance.. All to no avail.. The reason 'bug' popped into my
head is because I wasn't having this problem until shortly after I read the
original post describing my problem exactly. What are the chances that someone
else would have the exact same problem at the exact same time? And also before
upgrade it worked fine - after upgrade it doesn't work.. Maybe it's not a bug
but rather a configuration change of some sort that is not compatable with my
computer....?

I will keep trying stuff out, but any ideas or pointers would be greatly
appreciated!

  Thank you!

It isn't a bug, transfers work just fine in the new 9.3 release.

When transfers work TiVo-to-PC and not PC-to-TiVo it is usually,
almost always really, an issue on the PC with something blocking the
connection into TiVo Server. Or TiVo Server not running.
