Yes, TiVo is probably the best solution for this situation. I'd probably recommend the TiVo HD for this. It has composite video, S-Video, component video, and HDMI output, so it'll work with any TV - well, any that isn't so old that the only input is RF coax. It is dual-tuner and it works 'as-is' with antenna (NTSC & ATSC) and analog cable. And you can get CableCARD for digital cable when you have that. (You could pick up a small interior ATSC antenna and record OTA HD broadcasts as an option for HD when you don't have digital cable.) And it is all self-contained - no cable box, etc. You'd just have to re-run setup each time you move to configure it for the new zip code and carrier. But it will retain your recordings, which is an advantage to TiVo. You don't have to worry about being caught up on watching your shows when you move, or risk losing them as you would with a cable DVR which you must return. Any shows you haven't watched yet stay on the TiVo and you can just watch them in the new apartment. -MZ -- megazone-at-megazone.org http://www.MegaZone.org/ Gweep, Geek, Human, me. http://www.GizmoLovers.com/ http://www.Eyrie-Productions.com/ -><- Hail Eris "A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men" 508-852-2171
