Hmm, my concern is that long term this kind of thing will force
spammers to use genuine addresses they harvest as the envelope sender.
So we'll all be plagued by bounces and TMDA confirmations for mail we
didn't send....

Still, that's not a reason not to do it, but it's only a stopgap until
we can move the world to a fully authenticated mail transport.  Which
will have to happen eventually...
