Correct. I removed option and tested outgoing mail with my setup (as listed in FAQ) of sending through Exim twice, first time piping through TMDA, and sender envelope changed no problems. So untrusted_set_sender option requirement can be removed for Exim. Therefore David doesn't need to worry about this. I see looking at changelog this changed in version 0.56...
