I used X-TMDA-Message-ID as an example. An actual standard
probably wouldn't name a specific C/R system in the headers. Sorry
for the confusion.

My goal is for C/R users to be able to receive posts to the
list. I had not thought about the list trying to challenge people who
post to the list. I meant the list responding correctly to challenges
sent by members of the list.
