Does that SMTP AUTH patch allow you to authenticate to a fixed
outgoing route, specified in control/smtproutes? If so, that's exactly
what I need.

I do have to SMTP AUTH with my ISP, BTW. It does that inane From:
field checking regardless. Good game verizon...
