Jason, have you seen the most recent post by Henrik Nordstrom

autoresponders? I'd like to get your feedback on that if you
don't mind.

I think a direct SMTP probe may be a better solution since it
makes bad sender address caching viable (thus reducing system
load and bandwidth), but I'd still like to know what you think
about it.
