Yeah. That helped a lot with the searches. Exim seems to have pretty
comprehensive support for "sender address verification" already.

Postfix's seems less mature. Probably due to the non-monolithic
architecture.

I've started a discussion on the qmail mailing list. So far the responses
are favorable. The only thing that bugs me is the possibility of a DOS
from thousands or millions of servers using this feature in the future.

But with only a few MTAs running it the few will definately have a spam
fighting advantage over the rest of the pack.

One interesting suggestion by a member of the qmail list was that
TMDA itself perform the SMTP probe. I agree that this is better
implemented in the MTA, but it's interesting and something I hand't
considered before.
