To follow up, I'm now doing this with the following entry in my
FILTER_INCOMING:

 # refuse mail from unknown freemail sources
 from-file ~/.tmda/lists/freemail bounce=bounce_freemail.txt

The 'freemail' and 'bounce_freemail.txt' files are attached below.

It's already working:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (TMDA).

Your message attached below could not be delivered to one or more of
its recipients. This is a permanent error.

I am no longer accepting unknown messages from free mail sources
such as Yahoo and Hotmail. These free mail sources allow anonymous
sign-up, and because of this are heavily abused by spammers.

Please re-send the message to <%(USERNAME)[EMAIL PROTECTED](HOSTNAME)s> from your
real e-mail address (e.g, your work or school address). In this
message, also state that you'd like me to accept your free mail
address in the future, and I'll configure my software accordingly.

I apologize in advance for this drastic, but necessary measure.
  Thanks for your understanding.
