Well, I didn't get to this, sorry.  And I decided not to create such a
document, as I'm not eager to push this project.  It works for me and my
mailing lists and this is the main thing, and I'm involved in other
open projects that take their time also.

Anyway, whoever is interested in how qconfirm implements a delivery
confirmation process, and automatically responding to requests, with
just using the envelope, mail address extensions, the Message-ID, and
the Reply-To: or From: field from the header, can install it on a test
system.

The special Message-ID for confirmation request message would be the
only thing that must be agreed upon, all other logic can be implemented
on the challenged side, as qconfirm shows.  But a TMDA confirmation
request message already contains all information needed to reliably
identify a request and act accordingly, so there's not necessarily the
need for the special Message-ID.  I plan to implement automatic
confirmation of TMDA challenges this way in qconfirm.
