I use the anodyne therapy at level 10, the highest setting they make. You need a PT that can change the level and has 8 pads. You can cover a lot more area in a shortest of time. Once they find a level for you then the unit is ordered with that level, you will not be able to change the level of the unit.
Medicare will not cover it. They, the people you get the unit from will do all the paper work to Medicare. Medicare didn't give them anymore money. I believe the $499 out of pocket is the cost of the unit and
Medicare will not cover it. I have even wrote my congress man to fight this on my behalf.
I do use it for circulation and stiffness in both of my knees, legs and more feeling in my feet. I still have swelling in both of my legs. With more feeling and stronger legs, my legs will have some spasms in the morning, only on those days. I have less pin and needles feeling in my legs. So, I have less pain.
I can place the pads 30 mins in my inter thigh, 30 mins knee, and 45 mins calf's, but I do need assistance to put the pads in a T" pattern on the bottom of my feet for 45 mins.
