I dunno how many times I've expressed my discomfort of changing any kid's diapers, and yet, I've been volunteered to do it just as many times... I've also been the one to take the little boys to the potty since I'm the only other boy around. Of course, that's my idea of a great time... making sure they don't get it all over their shorts or just making it to the potty on time! bleh. And furthermore, the words "toilet" "bathroom" "can" ... they're no longer in my vocabulary... it's now just called a "potty" ... OY! Of course, I've also begun to give in to the "daddy factor" ... I find myself licking my thumb and rubbing away cheek smudges, using my hand to gather snot or whatever the kid spits out when he bites off more than he can chew... and of course, the "Let me taste it first to make sure it's not poison" excuse to get the first taste of a treat. :p My reward? My two young cousins, Meaghan and Travis (sister and brother ages 6 and 3 respectively) both call me "Daddy" regularly... of course, this is done primarily in front of the people I would rather not let think I was a daddy. :p gah... i dunno. kids are weird... sorry, this prolly didn't help anything. -Mikey QM
