Mikey:

Of course, I've also begun to give in to the "daddy factor" ... I find myself licking my thumb and rubbing away cheek smudges, using my hand to gather snot or whatever the kid spits out..

~I dunno Mikey. The Bare Handed Snot Removal Technique is pretty sophisticated parenting maneuver. You may have more nurturing skills than you give yourself credit for.

and of course, the "Let me taste it first to make sure it's not poison" excuse to get the first taste of a treat. :p

~Uh huh... I find that right around age 6 they get wise to that one. "Heeyyyy...Mom!"

My reward? My two young cousins, Meaghan and Travis (sister and brother ages 6 and 3 respectively) both call me "Daddy" regularly... of course, this is done primarily in front of the people I would rather not let think I was a daddy. :p

       <deep breath> AWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwww..........

gah... i dunno. kids are weird... sorry, this prolly didn't help anything.

~Yup and weird kids become weird Big People.

Not that there are any of those around here....
