Voting is set for September
23rd - October 19th.

Below is the category list
for Fan Fic Awards 2002.
1. Best New Author -- This category is specifically designed to credit a
brand new fan-fiction author for 2002. The nominees must not have been
entered in the Fan-Fiction Awards before and his/her works must have been
made public in the year 2002.
2. Best New Story -- The stories nominated for this category must have
been published in 2002, and can be written by any Fan-Fiction author.
3. Best Short Story -- This category is specifically for those stories
five chapters or less, overall good plot, characterization and writing
style.
4. Best Long Story -- This category is specifically for those stories
six or more chapters, overall good plot, characterization and writing
style.
5. Best Crossover -- Stories in which the TMNT meet up with other
famous characters from another story, show or media.
6. Best Action/Adventure Story -- Nominees depict stories of action
packed, high adventure, or a daring epic.
7. Best Graphical Story (comic/strip format) -- Stories told mostly
with drawings or other "props". Includes fan-made TMNT comics.
8. Best Series (i.e. trilogies, anothologies) -- Two or more stories
designed in sequel fashion that contain the same characters or basic
theme.
9. Best Poem -- Poetry relating to fan-fiction, written for a
particular story, or dedicated to the TMNT.
10. Best Round Robin -- Any multi-authored story would fit into this
category.
11. Best Comedy -- Nominees include stories that were created to make
you laugh. Humorous concept, dialogue or plot
12. Best Drama -- Sotries about angst, heartbreak, death and emotional
or mental suffering are ideal contestants.
13. Best Romance -- Have a favorite fan-fiction couple, or think a
certain story really captures the way love ought to be? Then nominate them
for this category!
14. Most Tragic -- This category is specifically for emotional or
mentally gut-wrenching stories.
15. Scariest/Spookiest -- Horror stories, frightening scenes, or
mentally chilling plots.
16. Most Suspenseful -- Stories that hold you in suspense from one
chapter to the next. Gripping plotlines that keep you coming back for
more.
17. Best Erotic Fan-Fiction -- These are stories that fit into the
"Adult" category and include sexual content.
18. Best Setting -- Nominate stories that depict the best detailed,
clearly written, or most realistic setting. Stories that you feel are
actually there when you're reading about them. A unique place or situation
in which the story takes place.
19. Best Action Sequence -- Exciting happenings and intense fight
scenes would fit into this category.
20. Best Love Scene -- Scenes that make you go "AWWWWWW......"
21. Best Death Scene -- Most enthralling death of a character,
inflicting mental and emotional pain or the glorious defeat of an
enemy
22. Most Shocking Scene -- An event that takes you by surprise, or an
unexpected ending.
23. Best Original Character -- A character that the author has created
to exist in the TMNT universe.
24. Most Accurate Portrayal of the TMNT -- The TMNT written as closely
as they are written in the official universes. Each characteristic is
accurately represented by their dialogue, wit, strengths, weaknesses,
intellect, appearance, etc.
25. Most Accurate Portrayal of an Official Character -- Characters
(excluding Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael) written as
closely as they are written in the official TMNT universes. Each
characteristic is accurately represented by their dialogue, wit,
strengths, weaknesses, intellect, appearance, etc.
26. Best Author -- The nominees for this category have shown exemplory
work in creating thought-provoking, interesting, comedic, and overall
entertainment in one or more fan-fictions.
27. Best Fan-Fiction Overall -- Nuff said.
