Hurray!  The keybinding works correctly now, thanks! :)  However, the
value of pane_search_string is forgotten as soon as I exit copy mode.

Is it possible to have pane_search_string persist across copy modes?
Because that's the ultimate use case I had in mind: I commonly search
for text, yank it into a tmux buffer, paste it somewhere in the shell,
go about my usual business, and later enter copy mode to search again.

At this point, I must retype my most recent search query from memory,
so populating the prompt with last pane_search_string would be ideal.
