Hi All,

The idea is good, I have been thinking about the practicality of the idea
and have some concerns which I listed down, Later down I have explained
about what we can do regarding each of these points.

1. The initial investment could vary from 30k - 100k or more towards advance
of a shop, based on the area. So how much are we going to invest on the shop
and then based on orders we need to find a wholeseller and for that need to
pay.
2. We need to have someone who can take up the responsibility of the store,
and oversees the transactions happening.
3. Where do we set it up?
4. Initial ground work needs to be done before we start, in the sense the
whole sellers available and what are the things that we will put up at the
store.

Regd 1: We can decrease initial investment if we can set up the store at a
place where we know the owner, so that we can convince him/her to take
lesser advance.

Regd 2 & 3: Providing Livelihood to someone who is in need is well and good
but how much can we trust someone whom we dont know. So there needs to be a
person from our side whom we know who can just be there at the place and
monitor the activities. Then it comes down to whom can we give that
responsibility to.

One of our parents overlooking is good, but then with the current level of
traffic, do they really feel good to go to a place and sit their for a day
and come back. Having people on shifts I guess will not be possible, one of
the reasons is the logistics, as people who have retired or in that age will
love to have something walkable to their home and most of us are dispersed
in all parts of the city, so having our parents monitor in shifts doesnt
seem to be practical. Also that can raise some ego issues which is possible
even for very minor issues.

Regd 4: I guess right now we are in need of volunteers to take up lots of
field work and make progress in the activities which we have already
started. We have roughly 6 for Medical and 6 for Education. And have FDP as
well every Sunday. So its gonna be hectic....

My point is we need to still consolidate our activities in the main areas,
and also most of us are involved in not just TMAD alone, so are we really
going to justify the tasks which we are taking up. I personally dont like
putting my legs in too many things and not justify any of them, I would feel
guilty abt it and does not give the satisfaction of service for which I
committed myself for. And also at the end of the day after the tasks if we
feel tired, then we will lose our interest and focus. So we need to take up
tasks only if we feel we can accomplish it without over stretching
ourselves.

These are things that we need to think off before we go forward and start
making our efforts. There could be many more. I like the idea but I find
myself stuck in search of time to accomplish the same. So lets discuss it
out and when we feel we have most of the practical things sorted out then we
can go ahead with setting up.

Just my views...
Chaitanya
