<< My request is that let us consolidate FDP and see to that it will go on and then think of SDP. >>
Honestly speaking, and like my vote for the poll says, I am not just in favor of FDP. Let me reframe my sentence here so that I don't send wrong signals: I'd not favor FDP in the present form where we find "potential seekers" and provide them with resources, like we do with our other *DPs. Why? Simply because anyone could seem a potential seeker - you never know who really needs it so damn badly! Also, like I wrote in my first e-mail about FDP, it never does teach - or even hint to teach - people "fishing". Plainly put, it doesn't help the big picture in any way. I do admit I might sound unconcerned, detached, and harsh. However, "senior" members here know that I know the value of starving, but I stick to what I said. If there's a better model of FDP that reaches the really-real starving population that cannot earn its own food ever, yeah, I might bend some, but not yet. << Coming to the execution of SDP, I think in Summer they anyways do not come to school. In April they have exams. Today is March 10th. When will we find time and when will we approach the schools as well as the Showroom people? >> Well, Prasanthi (or others too), why should summer be important? Or, "non-summer" be less important? I am sure none of us is happy if we see barefooted schoolgoing kids anytime during the year. At least, I am surely sad about their plight - not because they don't have slippers to protect, but because they don't even seem to care for such! If I imagine what kind of detachment they'd grow up with, I shudder about the big picture of the future, here too, more than I am worried about their individual deprivation of today. Arun and others, let's stick to one thread about SDP - at least, to some thread that talks about SDP alone. Let's leave the Harinath thread now. :-) I am glad that you find "company" there. I am sure you have the potential to expand the Chennai chapter. ...Or, how can you get any-time transport for yourself ;-)? I am just kidding, but take care of yourself, bro, don't stress out yourself but don't feel shy or hesitant. If you find a like-mind, ignite it :-) vijayOstu! NaChaKi
