Hello Friends,

Divena's brother-in-law Paul Babu and also her father, Subbarao garu rang to
me this morning informing of their well-being.

Thank you all for the great support and encouragement and at the end, after
41 days all of us are happy souls. A great relief.

We have the moments of anxiety on how the girl will be, criticality of the
operation, post-operation recovery etc.,

By doctor's words, she is extremely ok. She has to take good diet to be
active again.

So far so good. A task is complete in a sense.

What next?

*About Divena's family:*

Divena's father told me that all the 3 of them (Divena, her mother and Paul
Babu) went in a reservation couch and he in general couch and he has to
stand till Guntur. He said he will be ringing to us regularly and keep us
updated of Divena's progress.

Yesterday evening he also told me that he doesn't have any money and he can
give his labour and if there is any need he will do that for us.

He also told me that he earns Rs. 100 (on an average) every day and he gives
Rs. 10 first to Jesus and then only he takes the remaining money for family
expenses. He says that his friends tease him asking how much money and in
which bank he has that. He replies them that he has money in divine bank. He
told me that through us he received the divine help.

Divena's mother used to go to Patti work. It seems that they have to climb a
top of some madi or something and then work on Patti. (I do not know). She
is not able to do this and she has been irregular to that work. I asked her
that if we can help her by providing some capital for Sewing Machine, she
said she doesn't know Tailoring.

Subbarao garu has also the arthritis problem (mokali noppulu). He knows only
the plastering work it seems. He said he is a helper but not even a Mestri.

I want to request Ravi Shankar to visit their home again when he goes to
Guntur and observe. (Actually he went earlier but this time to observe the
locality and what kind of small business would be fetching there etc.,)

Whatever help we give them, it would not be of free nature. We will say to
them that they have to pay some amount to us every month. We do not take any
interest but they have to repay us the amount in monthly instalments.

I think it is better if we can think of small businesses that can be run. We
have two examples now, one is Divena's family and the other is Paparao garu.

We need to find about Coin Box, STD Booth, a petty article shop etc.,

This we will not do overnight. We first observe and then plan/execute
carefully. Let our choices be low cost, not be much in capital.

Thank you.

with regards,
PRASANTHI.
