Kiran garu,
you don't have to apologise. Definitely not to me
personally. I was taking part in a discussion. You gave
me a chance to talk about an issue that I have only
recently been becoming aware of. I wish you had simply
said that you saw the impact some remarks could have.

Though I started this out as a reply to Kiran garu, I
thought I might as well send it out to the group.
Kiran garu, I am not being personal nor critical. So,
please read on.

I was trying to say that any exceptional bad cases of
women, when brought up by the most good intentioned,
do harm to women in genereal. There are enough
prejudices already. There is enough escapism already.
There is enough burden on women already.

Well, here's a little more of my 2 cents:

Please don't keep women on too high a pedestal either.
That does bad too. Women do not get a chance to make a
mistake and go back to correct it. Why? They are
goddesses who are born to be good and virtuous. The
moment they make a mistake, they fall from theor
dietyhood into dirt from which they can only go lower.

Nature made men and women. They have some roles
biologically defiend. Socially though, man and woman
should complement each other and support each other
and sometimes might have to exchange roles in some
specific cases due to some special circumstances.

No one gender has to prove supremacy over the other.
They simply cann't. Nature will ultimately balance
itself out.

Regards,
lalitha.
