I think it is a good practise to say the reason on why we support particular point of view/project/activity. If we simply support or deny, there is no point. We will end up having no idea on us, why we are accepting something and rejecting few. Though the action/result is the same, the reason behind accepting something might be different. Let me explain. Few months back Sravan garu forwarded us a case of education wherein a person needs help for B.Ed. or something. Most of us said yes and also shared our views. All our views are different on why we wish to support that particular student. Vani said that she supports him because he took up teaching as it is his aim to educate/motivate children and she loves children a lot. It is not that we take different activities but all our members should know on why we took up particular project. In fact, those will be the basis for our guidelines. If you do not say, I can never understand on why you people object. As you shared now, I can understand and think in that view and I am convinced. Since that news caught the interest of dailies and many people started helping, we hope/guess that they will get the money and we need not sponsor. We should never be in an awkward situation that we are not going up with the case because some people said, 'no' and at the same time we took up a case without having any idea of why we took up and just because some people supported it. This should never be the case. Also I think it is becoming increasingly common that at the end of every discussion, we say, fine, no problem, even if we do not support, let us continue with the case with the people who support it and let us not consider it as a group project. If I, as a member, do not approve of something, if some of our members support, I will consider it as a group project but not just a project supported by a group of individuals. Then, what is the meaning of consensus? If something is not a group project, we cannot/need not and should not project it in our web site. If some individuals are taking up projects, why should it be posted on our group site? We are ready to go for registration and is this the way we wish to proceed with our projects? I am convinced that we need not support this case financially.
