*Minutes of Meeting – Hyderabad Monthly Meeting – July 1st 2007*
*Attendees*: Sundar,Kavitha, Kasyap, Sarath, Jairam, Murali, SatyaKrishna,

*Issues Discussed:*
1. *Registration of the Group:*
1. We had a discussion on the things to be done for
registration, had a conference with Ratan as well. As per it the
items that
need to be done before going to the Registrar of Societies office are
1. Get the ByeLaws ready with the signatures of the Body
2. Prepare an affidavit from the owner of the house which
we would be using as the office address for registration.
2. There has been some discussion on the post of Secretary, like
who should be taking it up. Ravi Shankar volunteered for Secretary in the
previous meeting.
3. As per Monthly meeting of June the body is

2. *Education Group:*
1. The education team started visiting a school in Mehdipatnam, where we
did SDP.
2. They started interaction with the students and have been visiting the
school regularly on Saturdays.
3. From the Head Master (HM) they got a list of note books which the
children require and asked us if we can provide by this week.
4. Also he explained the infrastructure problems that they have, like
the flooring is not cemented, there is no wall on one side which would help
the students to get two classrooms.
5. We decided to get the notebooks and then use RTI or media to get the
work done on the infrastructure as the govt. has supposedly released the
funds for the same but went into wrong hands.
6. The HM said he will organize parent meeting the coming Saturday
(7thJuly) and asked us to come and interact with the parents.
1. *Medical Group:*
1. Project Niloufer: No progress is made in this regard
2. Medical cases: We thought of not taking up any cases till we
get an idea of the funds that we have, so once the finance team gives a
clearance we can discuss on the cases to support.
3. Sundar updated the activity they are taking up in Shyamala
Kunta slums, they are proposing a clean up of premises by the
residents and
then having an yagna at the end of one week of cleaning their respective
houses clean.
4. Then Sundar's team will give them the health drink which and
also distribute the packets of this powder to the kids over there.
5. We have already decided to sponsor the health drink for the
mal nourished kids.
6. Sundar requested that they need a big trunk to store
medicines which they are getting for the Shyamala kunta area. There is a
need of this as some of the medicines are getting wasted because of rats.
7. We decided to sponsor for the trunk.
1. *Like Minded Groups Coordination:*
1. Some organizations which have come to our notice have been
added to the list which is being prepared.
2. Need to shortlist and approach the groups.
1. *Miscellaneous*:
1. Satyakrishna gave an update of BalaSubramantyam case
(Education)
2. Sundar got a book "365 ways to make a difference" – Michel
Norton, it is for those who want to make a difference in the society. He
read some pages for us which was interesting.
3. Also he suggested to approach "Aasharam Babuji" outlet in
Himayatnagar as they sell books at cheap rates and also the
amount goes for
the women employment for making the books and other such activities.
1. *Action Items till next monthly meeting:*
1. SatyaKrishna to settle the finance details by next meeting
and will update the group.
2. Kasyap to followup with media regarding the infrastructure
issue at the Mehdipatnam School.
3. Jairam – Get the books for kids and notify the same to the HM
4. Chaitanya – will go and talk to the Niloufer incharge along
with Ratan
5. Chaitanya, Sarath – will contact CA regarding registration.
6. Chaitanya - Finalise the byelaws and get the documents
necessary for registration ready.
