Hai All I know an organisation called thrive(where sarath worked for some time). They are supplying rechargeable white LED lantern type lamps to tribal areas(all around the world with subsidized prices) and allotting a volunteer who collects mimimum amount(15 rupees per week) and charges the battery and brings it back once in a week. But it just gives enough light to move around but if its for a school, they might need more lighting to study.
Just an option I wanted to share with the team. may be some one there can use it for some other purpose in some other situation. Thrive is an NGO working not for profit.
