Friends, For New Year, on 2007 we distributed blankets and visited Old Age Home in 2008, so what are we going to do in 2009?
Please come up with your ideas/suggestions for our New Year Activity. Arun and Pavan, please share your plans in Chennai and Bangalore. Hemanth, as we do not have direct core volunteers of our group in Nellore, I didn't mention Nellore name. You can suggest to our members of different Chapters on what we can do. What would be the good idea to do on New Year? a. Visiting an Orphanage b. Visiting an Old Age Home c. Visiting Blind Children Home (We have around 6k for them) d. Visiting a hospital and try to find the problems of the patients (this would be a good task. but I think we should find the problems before and then should do something constructive on the New Year Day) e. Doing a survey of the beggars in certain localities of the city. (we have to take their photos and then collect their information in a format. Share a Service group is already collecting old clothes and we can take clothes from them for these beggars and can give to them) f. Doing a survey of young people (below 22 yrs) working in petrol bunks. (Nachaki found a boy in a petrol bunk near by Srinagar Colony. We have to work on this task too) Though this is to continue the activity of doing something, this will not be a namesake effort. I sincerely request all our silent/dormant members to come forward with your suggestions and take part in the New Year Day Activity. Hoping and looking forward for a very positive response.
