I don't know off the top of my head where they are, but you can use the "nm"
utility (man nm) to show you what symbols are defined inside a shared
library file (e.g., "nm /usr/lib/libresolv.so.1"). If you're really
enterprising you could write a little script to use nm to search through
your libs for symbols you need.
