Hi If this is about Environment, you actually CAN extend it to 128K. Classpaths greater than 128K are no good idea. Classpaths containing the same jars twice aren't either.
If this is about Command line, you actually CAN get around this: SET CLASSPATH=..... SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;..... SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;..... SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;.....
