Think of it as a secure telnet! Do a google search for more info.
Also do a google search for "Putty" which is an SSH client for Windows. It'll probably tell you all about SSH and it's one of (if not the) best windows SSH client around. (If you're using Unix try typing: ssh [remotehost.remotedomain] at the prompt, of course changing the stuff in [] for the name of your server). HTH. Adam.
