Yes. HttpSession.setAttribute replaces HttpSession.putValue, for
consistency with HttpServletRequest.setAttribute and
ServletContext.setAttribute.

You will need a servlet container that supports 2.2 to run servlets that
use it. One such container is Tomcat <http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat>.
