I've seen most of the links that were given. However money is an issue, that is why I was looking for links to better docs... not buyin a book... just can't do it right now... Does anyone know of any other links??? Jake, you mentioned a link to a PDF but didn't include it, would you be so kind? So the general consensus is Log4j over jdk1.4 logging & including commons-logging so in the future when we upgrade and/or switch loggers it will be easier? Does anyone have experience with both Log4j & jdk1.4-loggin??? Thanks u'all 4 yer help... ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 8:33 AM Subject: RE: Setting up logging - Log4j > If that's the case, I would recommend commons-logging as it supports jdk and > log4j. > > Regards, > > > PQ > > "This Guy Thinks He Knows Everything" > "This Guy Thinks He Knows What He Is Doing" > > -----Original Message----- > From: Joe Tomcat [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: February 9, 2003 6:04 PM > To: Tomcat Users List > Subject: Re: Setting up logging - Log4j > > On Tue, 2003-02-11 at 14:27, tomcat guy wrote: > > Would anyone be so kind to point me in the right direction for setting up > some logging for servlets running on Tomcat? > > > > I'm looking at Log4j but I be a newbie and the docs I'm finding are not > that helpfull... > > If you have a choice, I would go with Java 1.4 and use the built-in > logging facilities.
