As I said before (I think this is the thread), add JAVA_HOME/bin to your PATH. Extend JAVA_HOME to its actual value before adding it to your PATH. So if JAVA_HOME = c:\j2sdk-1_4_01, then add c:\j2sdk-1_4_01\bin to your PATH.

4.1.18 shouldn't conflict at all, you haven't got a version of the J2EE JDK installed somewhere as opposed to the J2SE JDK?
