I have an HP Netserver, with a NetRaid card on board. The chipset is an
AMD MegaRaid. I saw the megaraid.o module addon available on the website
and added it to the boot floppy. However, anytime I insmod it, everything
just hangs, and never recovers. (atleast not after 15 minutes).
I'm at a loss. Redhat 6.x's stock megaraid.o works fine.
I tried my best to upgrade the kernel on Tom's boot disk to the same kernel
that comes with Redhat 6.1, which is 2.2.12. But I was unsucessful. It
was unable to mount the root device.
So, I either need instructions on how to make the megaraid.o addon work, or
how to possibily upgrade to a new kernel and modules that I know work.
Or, someone to just clue me in on something obvious that I'm missing.
