On the face of it, that's not a bad idea at all. There have been
several occasions when this would have been a very useful alternative
for me for setting up the networking. (Except for the tomsrtbt I have
at home, I almost always work in a networked environment - and even at
home I have two boxes with an ethernet crossover between them).
