How about something like:
"Hit any key within 10 seconds to edit rc.custom prior to processing"
during the bootup? (Or maybe, "Hit v or e within 10 seconds to edit
rc.custom with 'vi' or 'emacs' prior to processing"...)
If I am going to add another timed out prompt during boot, it should be
for general setup, not just for IP, and I'm DEFINITELY not going to add
any menus or sequences of prompts. What do people think? Would a chance
to edit rc.custom (even an option to make changes permanent!) be good?
