I've "done" a chrooted libc5 compilation kit based on Slackware 3.6. The
archive of that environment is available at
http://www.iki.fi/too/dt/s/dev_env.tar.gz. The size of that archive is
22 517 741 bytes (i.e. over 22 megs). Just extract that archive to some
directory, and chroot to it and you can start compiling stuff on it. That
might just be what you can use now?
