Yes, well, the idea is, when you are creating various CDs, with various
sets of 638 megs, you can make them bootable. That is, it is not a
question of, 'I am making a tomsrtbt CD, what goes in the filesystem',
rather, it is, 'I am making a fondue-photography CD, I might as well make
it bootable'. The idea is that it is painless to just make all CDs have
tomsrtbt boot sectors.

I agree, but, there are _other_ distributions that provide a CD based full
toolkit- such as the bootable business card, and some other stuff called
rescue-cd or cd-rescue or some such. My bootable CD capability is just a
side affect.
