It is hard linked into the kernel, no module needed.  The card is probably
not really an NE2000 clone, or is not really compliant, or similar.  What
happens if you try to configure the card with ifconfig eth0?  It won't
list it if you just do 'ifconfig' if it was never configured. -Tom
