Considering that the bulk of Sun's revenue comes from selling Sparc based
servers. I think an argument could be made, to support my position.

That said, I really don't have a problem removing that text, as it is
superfluous.

I don't believe you have any data to support that.  There are thousands
of users who use Solaris day to day as a desktop - some don't even know
they are doing so.

This IMO just doesn't provide any value so I'd recommend removing it.
