Hi Matt,

SHACL does not perform any sort of inferencing by default, and there is no special handling of reified triples. You'd need to pre-process the input graph, e.g. with a SPARQL CONSTRUCT, to turn the reified triples into "real" triples.

Hello,

Do SHACL property constraints for a given shape/class extend to reified statements where the subject of the statement is a SHACL instance?

For example, in the following, there are 2 people defined and a reified statement saying that inst:person-1 ex:knows inst:person-2.

If there is closed shape for type 'Person' that does not provide a property constraint for 'ex:knows', should I expect a failure? If not, why?

Thank you!

Matt
