Hi, from the answers I am guessing that not a whole lot of people are actually using SysML with Topcased, so by now I am guessing that what I am trying to do is not doable at least with this version of Topcased.
I was not trying to define inheritance in an ibd, but I was trying to use the inherited operations and/or properties of a block, defined in a bdd. Example: Define a block with flow ports, operations and properties and then define another block that inherits from the first (in a bdd). When you instantiate the inherited block (in an ibd) you cannot use the features from the first. To the developers of Topcased: Maybe some of the things that bothered me with this version can be fixed in future versions: * Useable Inheritance of operations and properties * The graphical routing of connections in ibd can in some cases be desastrous. The connection should go from the flow port Icon to the next flow port Icon. At this point they go from any part of the flow port definition to any other part. In my case, I was unable to move the connections so that they were readable. * Nice to have: drag & drop of blocks from the outline to an ibd generates a property of the block type.
