It's thg development, but it will have a very different character and 
the commit threads will get intermixed without a way to separate them 
(such as branches).

All right.

I must say I have slightly mixed feelings toward this project... on one 
hand, it'll be great to be able to finally have a decent OS X version 
and for some parts of the GUI to look better. On the other hand, this 
will most likely halt development of new features in the current 
TortoiseHg, which is not entirely feature complete (IMHO) just yet.

By the way, later on with Qt, it makes sense to build your own kdiff3 
without static linking to avoid duplicating the pretty heavy Qt 4 dlls. 
We (=work) do that (although not for that reason).
