You're right. That changeset is also in main. But that observation doesn't invalidate my points about 92ccccb55ba3 and 368a4ec603cc. I was just a bit concerned about thg releases being ahead of UN*X Mercurial releases with regards to the new merge/resolve stuff. But I have to say that new merge/resolve from main repo is very sexy. And I for myself can live with imerge extension being defunct. > In the past, this policy has been necessary as each release has picked > up win32 specific bug fixes from the tip of main. It was just that new merge/resolve behaviour from main that made me thinking. Maybe, I was a bit too conservative when writing my posting. Some quick tests of the new merge/resolve things look very promising. I wasn't just that sure if it has release stability yet (question is if the ui of hg resolve can be seen as finished now) But maybe that's not such a big issue on the Windows side anyway. > For 0.4, I was hoping to include the coal web style which did not make > it into 1.0. A mayor difference for me that is in main repo current tip is that new merge/resolve behavior, which seems to be intended to replace the imerge extension. > I'm hoping someone will volunteer to build these packages in the near > future, as I have less and less time to devote to them. It is sad that you don't have the time. But many thanks for what you have done. For a (still quite a) newbie like myself (plus coming from the Windows side), it is a bit difficult to be helpful here, since there are quite a couple of things I don't know enough about. On the other hand, it is also sometimes difficult to know what is wanted and what is not wanted on the thg project. It appears to me that TK Soh sometimes has rather narrow goals on a couple of issues -- which is entierly fine, as he is the project lead/initiator. As such, I do have to sit back on a couple of things and take whatever the project's decisions are. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
