I would prefer not to, for two reasons:

1) win32text's filters could/should be configured differently on a
per-repo basis.
2) Enabling this feature is a non-trivial step, and I prefer to
require people to RTFM and understand what it is exactly that they are
enabling.

Even with these fixes in hg-1.3, win32text is not exactly a mainstream
or even a suggested feature.  Most of the hg maintainers think of it
as an original sin.  I don't want to put the THG stamp of approval on
it and give people the wrong impression.

I did add the patch.eol setting to the example in our Mercurial.ini so
new users are at least aware of the setting.
