You can nominate a speaker at http://tedxsoudertonhs.com/.

Hey, Luke!

First of all, I think it's excellent you're getting this together -- please do keep doing these sorts of things, because they're the kinds of events where little discussions happen that eventually turn into, and join with, maelstroms that change the world.

A lot of us here are outside the Philly area -- if you've got an option for handling remote speakers (Skype or Google Plus, a projector, some good speakers, and a webcam + good mic where audience members can step up to ask questions) I'm pretty sure you'd immediately have some takers. It might actually be nifty to have one talk that's actually a conversation between, say, 4 people in a G+ Hangout, with the audience watching that; the medium also becomes the message, in that case. Thoughts on that idea?

In terms of in-person speakers, I grasp at straws a little more here, but... Asheesh, you moved up to Boston from... Pittsburgh, or Philly? On the off chance it's the latter, see above. (And even if it's the former, do you know any folks in Philly who are of a TOS bent and can speak well? Also, Greg Hislop is a professor at Drexel and may know some folks around the area.

I'm in SF now, actually -- but yes, used to be in Philly. I will keep my ears open for Philadelphia-area people who are amazing.

-- Asheesh.
